Rotary drum dryer is the device that is used to heat and dry the materials. Rotary drying machine is generally applicable to granular materials and it can be also used for the drying of some part of sticky pasty materials or the materials with high water content. The dry moist materials are transmitted by belt conveyor or bucket elevator to the hopper and then getting into the feed end trough feed pipe.

1.The dryer is a tilt rotary cylinder which the materials are added from the high end of the cylinder; during the continuous rotary motion of the sand dryer, the materials are in progressive movement from the high-end to low-end, so sand dryer is a transportation equipment.

2.Dryer is also a combustion equiment. The pulverized coal powder is sprayed into the sand dryer by the sand drying blower head. The combustion heat is transferred to the material in the three basic ways of radiation, convection and conduction. As fuel combustion equipment, sand dryer has a broader space and thermal field, can provide sufficient air, install excellent combustion apparatus to ensure full combustion of fuel and provide the necessary heat for clinker calcination.

3.Dryer has the heat exchange function. Sand dryer has a relatively uniform temperature Session which can meet the requirements of exchanging heat during each stage of the cement clinker formation , in particular Alite mineral generated requirements.

4.Drying machine has a function of chemical reactions. In the formation process, the clinker has a series of physical, chemical reaction. The feeding pipe slope should be greater than the natural inclination of the material, so that the material can smoothly get into the dryer. The dryer cylinder is a horizontal line slightly inclined rotating cylinder. Material is added from the upper end, while the heating medium enters from the lower end and contact with the materials in countercurrent form; also the material and heat can flow into the cylinder at the same time.
